Miinecraft Mondays Bonus Quilt Blocks: Siamese Cat, Sheep, and Diamond Steve

Happy 26th Minecraft Monday! This week we're making a rather strange sheep and a Siamese cat.

I think I'm possibly going to be making Mincraft quilt blocks for the rest of my life. ;) haha But only a few more weeks now.  And it really has been a blast!

First up today is the Sheep.

Yep! Don't adjust your screen. That's a BLUE sheep. Because my son says that you can dye sheep in the game, and his favorite color is blue, he picked a blue sheep. :D If you'd like your sheep to be a standard sheep, just switch the blue pieces out to white, or whatever color the recipient would like. :)

For the sheep, you'll need white, tan, black, two shades of pink, and whatever color you'd like around the outside edge.

Cutting:

White: (1) 2 x 9 1/2"
       (2) 2 x 3 1/2"
       (2) 2 x 2"

Tan: (1) 2 x 9 1/2"
     (1) 3 1/2 x 3 1/2"
     (4) 2 x 3 1/2'

Black: (2) 2 x 2"

Darker Pink: (1) 2 x 3 1/2"

Lighter Pink: (1) 2 x 3 1/2"

Blue (or chosen color):
          (2) 2 x 9 1/2"
          (2) 2 x 12 1/2"

Assembly: Assemble according to the smaller gray arrows first, then assemble according to the numbered arrows.

And you have a BLUE sheep.. or not, depending on your taste in dyed sheep! :D

Next up is the Siamese Cat.

For the Siamese Cat, you'll need four shades of gray (scraps may come in handy--if you want, you could use just two shades of gray), black, white, blue and background.

Cutting:

Lightest Gray: (2) 2 x 3 1/2"
               (1) 2 x 6 1/2"
               (2) 3 1/2 x 3 1/2"

Light Medium Gray
(either side of nose):
               (1) 2 x 2"
               (1) 2 x 3 1/2"

Dark Medium Gray
(around eyes/forehead):
               (5) 2 x 3 1/2"
               (2) 2 x 2"
               (1) 3 1/2 x 6 1/2"

Darkest Gray (mouth):
               (1) 2 x 6 1/2"

White: (2) 2 x 2"

Blue: (2) 2 x 2"

Black: (1) 2 x 2"
       (2) 2 x 3 1/2"

Background: (2) 2 x 3 1/2"
            (1) 2 x 12 1/2"

Assembly: Assemble each section in order of the numbered arrows, then assemble block per larger gray arrows.

And you have a Siamese Cat! :D

********************************

Diamond Steve is easy! Just go to the Gold Steve tutorial by clicking here, and follow the same directions, swapping out the gold for turquoise. :D

*********************************

Some of you have asked how much yardage is needed for the large Ender Dragon that I'm making for the back of my son's quilt, but I just bought a yard of each of the colors, I think. I will figure out the yardages and then post them over on the sew along page soon, if they're not already there by the time you read this!

Thanks for visiting today! Hope you're staying cool wherever you are this summer!

xoxoxo

Kelli - Thank you so much for all of these blocks. I came to the build along late and feel I'll never catch up. Any horse blocks in the future?????
