Friday Night Sew-In

Well, I had big plans for this Friday's ...

I planned on working on the bowties, and actually got three more rows sewn together.. (before my plans were squashed).. no photo, though.

I also planned on maybe playing with these, which I purchased with a recent gift certificate win @ Hoodies and Flipflops.. (Thanks again, Jennifer Gail!!)

Or some of these which I recently got with a gift certificate won way back in August for the Pets on Quilts show @ SewCalGal... (I shopped the clearance section to get the most bang for my buck!)

But none of that happened on this Friday night. :(  I have been sick recently, and the meds I am taking are kicking me down!  If I ever write another "TMI" post, like the last one, maybe I'll tell you about it. ;) Otherwise, I'd like to forget most of the last month and a half. There have been a few bright spots for sure, but the sickness and the grief have been hard.  Anywho! I am looking forward to seeing what everyone else got accomplished.  :o)

I just sewed a few seams and took a great big nap!  Do naps count as FNSI accomplishments? ha!

Much better to have the nap if you need it!!! Dreaming about what you'll do with that gorgeous fabric most certainly counts towards FNSI... LOL!!! Take care...

Poor you, it is definitely better to rest if you need to. I hope you get better soon and get some sewing time if you feel up to it.

Yep naps should totally count! :)
Sorry you've not been feeling well. I hope you feel better soon. Bright side - there is another FNSI next week! :)

At least you got something done and sometimes you just need to nap.

Naps are good and I have a to do list for 2012. I am currently doing what "I want to do". Pressure is not good for you at this time. It is very important to think about you. I have a list of things to do a week before Xmas, but small and fun things.

There are no rules about how much sewing one must do for FNSI.... and the nap was much more important!

Hope you get to feeling better soon!

So sorry to hear you're not feeling well - just get better, that's way more important than anything else, including FNSI

Naps count...the quilty dreams are called resarch!...and you did sew and you planned (more research)...you did more than I sometimes manage for FNSI...most importantly...take care of you...hope you feel better soon...

Sometimes you just have to nap!!! Hope you feel better real soon!!

I am with the rest of the gals. If your body says nap time then its nap time. I managed to finish my year long project finally, now I have to re-energise to get into a new one......but well....I think I will give myself a bit of a rest...

naps totally count in my book! I hope the new year beings better health for you :)
Gorgeous fabric, you picked lovely wins :)

I think you probably needed the nap! I slept about 12 hours last night, obviously well needed too, and it's not 4:20 pm and I haven't done anything but blog read and talk on the phone to my mum and my gran, and have a chat with my flatmate! Hmm, I might get going on a bag for my granny tonight. Then again...

I signed up for the FNSI, too, but didn't get much done. Spent too much time watching "Say Yes To The Dress", and putting up Christmas decorations!

Your most important job? Look after you! Hope you are on the mend, Kelli. Hugs, Kathy

Had I done some more research and known you were winning all these prizes, maybe I'd have let someone else have a turn! :) Totally kidding. You're my sistah from another mistah and you needed and deserved it. But do share some of your golden touch, won't you?

Get well soon! (Love your son´s christmas wishlist with the toilet paper on it! Haha! Made me laugh so hard, such a cute practical boy!)

Yes! Naps do count for you. (Not me, I better get my butt in gear and get something done! LOL!!)
